The Chaos Crest (also known as the Crest of Chaos) is a fiery helmet that provides 5 effective Smithing levels. By default the Chaos Crest possesses Krakatoa, a fire attack ability that is 25% slower, 25% more accurate, and does double the damage with a cooldown of at least 45 seconds.

Set Bonus

Together with the Smith's Golem Torso, the Smith's Golem Legs and Dwarven Tongs, this crest comprises the Smithing Set.

• Master Smith is achieved by wearing the Chaos Crest together with the Smith's Golem Torso and Smith's Golem Legs. This bonus increases equipment based smithing stats by 20% while reducing damage taken and increases damage dealt by 25%.

• Legendary Smith requires all 3 armor pieces and the Dwarven Tongs. This bonus overrides Master Smith and increases equipment based smithing stats by 40% while reducing damage received and increases damage dealt by 50%.
