Runecrafting Shards are a type of Skilling Shard associated with Runecrafting. They are used in the Crafting, Augmenting or Researching of runecrafting related gear.

Acquisition

Runecrafting Shards can be acquired passively every 5 minutes by runecrafting. This rate can be adjusted by equipping either a Newbie Adventurer's Backpack or Dwarven Adventurer's Backpack which gives a +10% / +20% chance for an additional Skilling Shard.

Shards are non tradeable however they can be earned in combat:

Quests

• Earn 1000 Runecrafting Shards by completing the Runecrafting Set Quest.

• Turn in 9000 Runecrafting Shards to help finish the Legendary Chisel quest to receive an Ancient Runic Chisel and unlock its crafting recipe.

Crafting Uses

The runecrafting set recipes must be unlocked by completing the Runecrafting Set Quest before they can be crafted.
