Rune Slate is a material gathered from Mining. It is primarily used for Runecrafting or the Crafting and Augmentation of various items.

Acquisition

• Rune Slates can be obtained through Mining at: the City Outskirts Mine, Desert Mine, Underground Mine, Slate Spires, Hidden Mine, Volcano Mine, or Deep Pit.

• These slates are available at the Marketplace or earned through Combat:

• Rune Slates are farmed from a Mysterious Seed or acquired as a byproduct of Smithing at the Volcanic Forge while wearing equipment with the Refining enchantment.

• Additionally, both a Geode and Greater Geode may drop Rune Slates. Players using the NGIM (No Gather Iron Man) mode may find it particularly useful to equip Phroglin Pheromones while fighting in the aforementioned zones to further boost the amount of Rune Slates acquired.

Mining while under the influence of the Supercooling enchantment will help increase the chances of gathering Rune Slates.

Quests

• Complete the Gathering Tutorial and Processing Tutorial quests to obtain 100 Rune Slates each.

• Earn 2000 Rune Slates by finishing the Purging the Cultists quest.

• Turn in 3000 Rune Slates to help with the Runes of the Lava Maze quest which awards 5000 Rune Slates.

Rune Slates are used together with essence to create Runes.

Achievements

• The Runic Spires Achievement requires gathering 1,000,000 Rune Slates. Maybe it's best to get them from the Slate Spires.
