Fishing Shards are a type of Skilling Shard associated with Fishing. They are used in the Crafting, Augmenting or Researching of fishing related gear.

Acquisition

Fishing Shards can be acquired passively every 5 minutes by fishing. This rate can be adjusted by equipping either a Newbie Adventurer's Backpack or Dwarven Adventurer's Backpack which gives a +10% / +20% chance for an additional Skilling Shard.

Shards are non tradeable however they can be earned in combat:

Quests

• Earn 1000 Fishing Shards by completing the Fishing Set Quest.

• Turn in 9000 Fishing Shards to help finish the Legendary Tacklebox quest to receive an Ocean's Embrace and unlock its crafting recipe.

Crafting Uses

The fishing set recipes must be unlocked by completing the Fishing Set Quest before they can be crafted.
