Forge Maintenance is an enchantment that decreases negative forge effects by 1% for Smithing Smithing. This buff caps at 30%.

Use

Forge Maintenance strength levels may differ depending on which tongs (enchantment slots may vary in number) or Smithing Set equipment is enchanted and the number of scrolls used, whether or not a relevant talent is purchased and what level of Forge Maintenance global buff is active.

Enchantment Effect Notes
Forge Maintenance 1 Decreases negative forge effects by 1%. This is the base enchantment found on a Scroll of Forge Maintenance Scroll of Forge Maintenance. Multiple scrolls must be used to increase the enchantment strength on an item.
Forge Maintenance 3 Decreases negative forge effects by 3%. This is the maximum strength level that can be applied on any item belonging to the Smithing Set not including the legendary tongs.
Forge Maintenance 8 Decreases negative forge effects by 8%. This is the maximum strength level that can be applied on the Dwarven Tongs Dwarven Tongs which has 8 enchantment slots.
Forge Maintenance 9 Decreases negative forge effects by %9. The Smithing Master Talent gives +1 to the Forge Maintenance enchantment. Forge Maintenance 9 is achieved if this talent is purchased and the Dwarven Tongs with Forge Maintenance 8 are equipped.

The Scroll of Forge Maintenance has a vendor value of 2000 gold and is tradeable at the Marketplace. This scroll is used to enchant a set of tongs or one piece of the Smithing Set.
