A Necromancer's Cowl is one of the strongest magical headgear in game. The cowl requires 75 Defense and 75 Magic before it can be worn.
Acquisition
A Necromancer's Cowl is tradable, players can buy and sell it at the Marketplace. It can also be crafted using the following recipe:

Abilities
Wearing Necromancer's Cowl grants the player the following abilities:
- Necrotic Splash: Overcome your foe with decay, reducing their defenses.
- Necrotic Wave: Overcome your foes with decay, reducing their defenses.
- Necrotic Touch: Touch your enemy with the power of death.
- Grasp Heart: Reach out and tear the life force from your enemy. If the enemy is below 33% health, this ability will deal 300% more damage, otherwise it will deal 25% damage. Applies the Heart Attack debuff, which lowers the damage the enemy deals.
Set Bonus
Necromancer's Cowls add one count to the following set bonus:
- Wizard's Wisdom [3|4]: Increases resistance by [10%|20%]. Increases intellect and magic accuracy by [2.5%|5%] and gives a [5%|10%] chance to not consume ammo when casting a Magic ability.
- Living Death [3|4|6]: Increase offensive and defensive Poison affinities by [25%|50%|75%]. Increase de/buffs given to enemies by [2|4|6]. Increases damage dealt by DOTs by [150%|300%|450%]. Decreases delay between DOT ticks by [25%|50%|75%]. Counteracts the damage malus from Swift Agony based on missing health percentage; the malus is reduced by 1% for every 1% of health missing starting at 75% health and completely negated at 25% health remaining.
