Heat is used to smelt bars and cook food. You can get heat by burning various items such as logs, branches, driftwood, coal, and ability books.

Heat is used in Cooking, Smithing, Crafting and Enchanting. It is obtained by burning various items such as Logs, Pyre Logs, Coal, driftwoods, Books, Ability Books or some tokens.

Burning

Once an item is burned it is destroyed. Items can be burned by two methods:

• Method A
  1. Select the Heat (fire) icon from Inventory to list the burnable items.
  2. Click on an item from Inventory.
  3. In the Actions menu, type in the amount of items to be burned, use the incremental input field or click on the MAX button (for maximum burn quantity).
  4. Click on the Burn button.

• Method B
  1. Click on a burnable item from Inventory.
  2. Click on an item from Inventory.
  3. In the Actions menu, type in the amount of items to be burned, use the incremental input field or click on the MAX button (for maximum burn quantity).
  4. Click on the Burn button.

Uses

• Heat is used in Cooking to create dishes and brew potions through alchemy.

• For Smithing, Heat is essential to smelt ores into bars or to yield other byproducts through refinement such as Gems, Infernal Dust, Sand, Silver, Metal Slag, Obsidian Glass, Inert Heat Stones, Clay, Coal, Rune Slates, and Core Fragments.

• In Crafting, Heat produces the following items:

Logs

Wooden logs and branches can be purchased at the Marketplace, but they are usually gathered through Foraging and Farming.

Quests and Achievements

• Earn 1000 Heat by completing the Processing Tutorial quest.

• In a single action, generate 1,000,000 Heat at once to earn the Burning with Enthusiasm achievement.

• In a single action, generate 1,000,000,000 Heat at once to earn the BURN IT ALL achievement.

• Gain 2,000,000,000 Heat in total through cumulative Inventory burn actions to earn the Slow Burn achievement. Heat generated from the Embers enchantment or from a Charged Heat Stone will not contribute towards this goal.
