Cooking Shards are a type of Skilling Shard associated with Cooking. They are used in the Crafting, Augmenting or Researching of mining related gear.

Acquisition

Cooking Shards can be acquired passively every 5 minutes by Cooking, brewing potions and preparing ingredients. This rate can be adjusted by equipping either a Newbie Adventurer's Backpack or Dwarven Adventurer's Backpack which gives a +10% / +20% chance for an additional Skilling Shard.

Shards are non tradeable however they can be earned in combat:

Quests

• Earn 1000 Cooking Shards by completing the Cooking Equipment quest.

• Turn in 9000 Cooking Shards to help finish the Legendary Ladle quest to receive a Golden Spoon and unlock its crafting recipe.

Crafting Uses

The cooking set recipes must be unlocked by completing the Cooking Set Quest before they can be crafted.
