Shrimp Eyes have been discovered while exploring the depths of The Maelstrom. Knowledge of the Shrimp Eye's existence has also been the subject of long and arduous research into the properties of the Shrimp Ascendant.
Acquisition
Shrimp Eyes are sold in the Marketplace, however they can also be obtained by clearing The Maelstrom dungeon which is accessible through the Ancient Maelstrom Orb or uncovered as a rare prize inside a Maelstrom Cache.

After procuring a Shrimp Ascendant, perform enchantment research at the cost of 1 Raw Shrimp per attempt. Each attempt has a 90% chance to produce Basic Runic Dust. When the research fails, there is a 0.5% chance to produce a Shrimp Bauble or a 0.1% chance to produce a Shrimp Eye. Most research failures result in Common Gear Scraps.
Usage
The Shrimp Eye is an item used to craft:
- The Awakened Shrimp Eye (which is the key to the Beyond the Edge dungeon).
- Equipment from the Mantis Shrimp Armor set,
- Weapons from the Shrimp Weapons set.
Additionally the Shrimp Eye is used to augment or research gear from the Mantis Shrimp Armor or Shrimp Weapons sets.
