A sunken treasure is a chest that can be found as a rare drop while fishing. Opening it will grant the player a small amount of gold (up to around 100k) and sometimes one or two gems.
More importantly, sunken treasures have a small chance of dropping talismans, which are used for the runecrafting skill. There is also a very rare chance the sunken treasure contains a forgotten soul, and modified diving gloves.
