They are uncovered:

• While foraging in any forest.
• Upon completion of the Nature Atheneum dungeon.
• From the Elven Research Cache which are obtained in the Nature Atheneum.

Treasure

They can be opened to obtain gems, talismans, and the occasional arrow or ammo.

Rarely do they contain: Very Mysterious Seedlings, Elder Sap, an Ancient Oak Seed and/or the World Tree Branch.
