The Miner Set consists of three basic pieces: Miner's Lantern Helmet, Miner's Smock, and Miner's Trousers, and the legendary pickaxe Dwarven Rocksmasher. It is primarily used for mining.

How to Aquire

To unlock access to the set you need to complete the quest Mining Equipment. It requires Mining level 50 in order to accept the quest. The Mining Equipment quest will ask you to mine 10,000 times. You can mine in any of these zones:

Once you have completed this quest, you will be rewarded with:

  • 1 quest point
  • 100,000 mining experience
  • 1,000 mining shards
  • Prototype Miner's Lantern Helmet
  • Prototype Miner's Smock
  • Prototype Miner's Trousers

Completing the Mining Equipment quest also unlocks access to the quest Legendary Pickaxe. Through this quest a player can obtain the legendary pickaxe Dwarven Rocksmasher. This quest will ask the player to clear Dwarven Research Station and to research the legendary recipe by consuming 9,000 Mining Shards. Once completed, you will be rewarded with:

  • 1 quest point
  • 500,000 mining experience
  • Dwarven Rocksmasher

Prototype Set

Each piece of the prototype miner set has 3 enchantment slots. Prototype pieces are the same as their crafted counterparts with one difference: prototype pieces are enchanted with 1 enchantment while crafted pieces are enchanted with 3. These pieces can be disenchanted and/or (further) enchanted.

  • Prototype Miner's Lantern Helmet: Dwarven Engineering 1/3, which gives a 0.2% chance to massively boost amount gathered while mining
  • Prototype Miner's Smock: Empowered Prospecting 1/3, which increases your chance to find gems or silver while mining by 50%. Rolls before Prospecting and does not stack with it; does not require a earth rune.
  • Prototype Miner's Trousers: Archaeology 1/3, which gives access to a secondary drop table while gathering with rewards and chances heavily scaling on enchantment strength. The best finds are found in the hardest to reach zones.

Crafted Set

Completing the Mining Equipment quest gives access to the Miner Set pieces' crafting recipes. Crafting these pieces will require 450 Mining Shards per piece.

  • Miner's Lantern Helmet: Dwarven Engineering 3/3, which gives a 0.6% chance to massively boost amount gathered while mining
  • Miner's Smock: Empowered Prospecting 3/3, which increases your chance to find gems or silver while mining by 150%. Rolls before Prospecting and does not stack with it; does not require a earth rune.
  • Miner's Trousers: Archaeology 3/3, which gives access to a secondary drop table while gathering with rewards and chances heavily scaling on enchantment strength. The best finds are found in the hardest to reach zones.

Set Bonuses

The Miner Set also has additional bonuses depending on the amount of equipment that you have on related to mining.
