The Shrimp Ascendant is an item used to create Shrimp Baubles which in turn is augmented or researched until it results in a Cracked Shrimp Bauble (the key to the Gazing into the Abyss dungeon). There is a small chance that the Shrimp Ascendant will transform into a Shrimp Bauble and an even rarer chance to transform into a Shrimp Eye. The Shrimp Eye will be used for a stronger gear that comprise the Mantis Shrimp Armor set.

Acquisition

Research the Shrimp dropped by Aberrant Shrimp until they transform into a Shrimp Ascendant. Each research attempt costs 1 Raw Shrimp which will produce basic runic dust 90% of the time. Upon research failure, there is a 0.2% chance that a Shrimp will transform into a Shrimp Ascendant, however most failed research attempts will result in Common Gear Scraps.

Uses

Once the Shrimp Ascendant is produced, it can be further researched. Each research attempt costs 1 Raw Shrimp and has a 90% chance to produce Basic Runic Dust. When the research fails, there is a 0.5% chance to produce a Shrimp Bauble and a 0.1% chance to produce a Shrimp Eye. The majory of failed research attempts result in Common Gear Scraps.

Tip: To increase the chances of producing a Shrimp Bauble or Shrimp Eye, wear gear with the Chances buff to increase the number of chances that an item is transformed while researching. Use the Duster buff to increase the number of research attempts to benefit from more runic dust being produced.
