Researching

Researching a Black Opal Ring costs the same as augmenting it and will produce Prime Runic Dust on a successful attempt, and will transform it into Rare Gear Scraps on a failed one. There is also a (small 0.02% base) chance that researching a Black Opal Ring will transform into a Prismatic Ring.
