Description
Increase your chance to find gems or silver while mining by 50%. Has a 10% chance to consume an earth rune on success. Attempts to pull the rune from your inventory then ammo pouch if none found.

Prospecting is an enchantment that increases your chance to find gems or Silver while Mining by 50%. It has a 10% chance to consume an Earth Rune on success and will attempt to pull the rune from your Inventory then ammo pouch if none are found.

Interactions

• Unlike Root Digging ( Foraging) and Refining ( Smithing) buffs, gems can be obtained without this enchantment while mining.

• Prospecting rolls after Empowered Prospecting and does not stack with it.

Scroll

The Scroll of the Prospector has a vendor value of 2000 gold and is tradeable at the Marketplace. It is used to enchant pickaxes or items from the mining set. This scroll is created through Scrollcrafting:

• Earn a Scroll of the Prospector by completing the Caves and Caverns quest.

Event Shop

Prospecting does not have a potion form that can be brewed through Alchemy, however individual stacks of Prospecting 2 can be purchased from the Event Shop at a price of 3 stacks/1 Event Token. They are not stored in the inventory but are consumed immediately.

The chance to find a random gem per action while mining is calculated using this formula:
