An ancient chisel designed to help you in engraving runes onto slate or drawing magic out of fibers.

The Ancient Runic Chisel is part of the Runecrafting Set and is the highest tiered Chisel in game. This chisel requires level 80 in Runecrafting before it can be equipped and provides the player with 50 effective runecrafting levels.

Acquisition

The Ancient Runic Chisel is obtained by finishing the Legendary Chisel quest. Additional chisels can be [[Crafting|crafted] after the recipe is unlocked upon quest completion.

The Runecrafting Set quest must be finished prior to accepting the Legendary Chisel quest. The chisel quest involves clearing the Abandoned Academy Base and then turning in 9000 Runecrafting Shards.

Enchanting

Although the Ancient Runic Chisel does not come with pre-enchantments, it can be worn together with the Runecrafting Set (Runecrafter's Robe Top, Runecrafter's Robe Bottoms and Runecrafter's Robe Hood) to activate the Legendary Runecrafter bonus. This bonus increases Runecrafting stats by 40%. It also reduces damage received and increases damage dealt by 50% in dangerous gathering encounters.
