Mantle of Flame is a cape-type item, it was the first DPS (damage per second) focused cape and first animated item released in Idlescape.
It has no requirements to be equipped.
Mantle of Flame has an item ability called "Phoenix's Flame" that gives the player a chance to be resurrected after being hit by a fatal blow, this chance percentage can be increased when augmenting the mantle. The player will receive a resurrection sickness debuff when resurrected causing reduced healing, offensive, and defensive stats. The Mantle of Flame also gives the player access to 4 magic abilities for combat when equipped: Fireball, Flamethrower, Channel Resurrection, and Prepare Resurrection.
Abilities
- Fireball : "Harness a ball of fire to throw at your enemies. not a good idea to play catch with."
- Rune Cost: x2 Fire Rune.
- Flamethrower : "Fire an intense gout of flame!"
- Rune Cost: x5 Fire Rune.
- Prepare Resurrection: "Use the latent power of the Phoenix to prepare yourself for resurrection. Takes some time to fully cast but may singe any enemy who gets close during the process."
- Gain 1 stacks of a Pending Resurrection 1 de/buff.
- Minimum damage is decreased by 90% | Maximum damage is decrased by 75%.
- Rune Cost: x25 Fire Rune; x25 Nature Rune; x25 Death Rune
- Channel Resurrection: "Use yourself as the catalyst for ressurection, sacrificing your own lifeforce and strength to save your allies. Takes some time to fully cast."
- Gain 999999 stacks of a Resurrection Sicknss 2 de/buff.
- Apply 1 stacks of a Pending Resurrection 1 de/buff
- Will always succeed, but does no damage.
- Rune Cost: x100 Fire Rune; x100 Nature Rune; x100 Death Rune
- Phoneix's Flame:
- Gives a 25% chance for a fatal blow to be rendered non-fatal; if this happens the Resurrection Sickness debuff will be applied. Does not stack with other Resurrection types.
How to Acquire
It is acquired as a drop from Phoenix in Palace of Flames.
