The Mantle of Flame is a cape that makes up part of the Flame Set.
Trivia: The Mantle of Flame was the first DPS (damage per second) focused cape and first animated item released in Idlescape.
Set Bonus
- Wearing the Mantle of Flame alone, activates a set bonus known as Phoenix's Flame. This bonus allows a 15% chance to be resurrected after suffering a fatal blow. Upon resurrection, the adventurer will receive a Resurrection Sickness debuff which causes reduced healing, offensive, and defensive stats during battle.
- By equipping the Mantle of Flame together with the Wand of the Phoenix, the Phoenix's Flame ability is increased to 30%. Upon resurrection, the adventurer will receive a Resurrection Sickness debuff which causes reduced healing, offensive, and defensive stats during battle.
- Wearing 3 items from the Flame Set activates a Master of Flames set bonus. This bonus increases intellect and both defensive and offensive fire affinities by 7.5%. It doubles the damage over time of the Master of Flames ability.
- By equipping the entire 4 piece Flame Set, the Master of Flames set bonus increases intellect and both defensive and offensive fire affinities by 15%. It doubles the damage over time of the Master of Flames ability.
Abilities
The Mantle of Flame provides access to additional magical combat abilities when worn:
- Fireball: "Harness a ball of fire to throw at your enemies. not a good idea to play catch with."
- Prepare Resurrection: "Use the latent power of the Phoenix to prepare yourself for resurrection. Takes some time to fully cast but may singe any enemy who gets close during the process."
- Channel Resurrection: "Use yourself as the catalyst for resurrection, sacrificing your own lifeforce and strength to save your allies. Takes some time to fully cast."
- Gain 999999 stacks of a Resurrection Sickness 2 de/buff.
- Apply 1 stack of a Pending Resurrection 1 de/buff on target ally.
- Will always succeed, but does no damage.

Acquisition
This mantle may be sold in the Marketplace, dropped in combat by Phoenix 4 or received as a possible reward upon completion of the Palace of Flame dungeon.
